Sunrise at Kudajadri, Karnataka, INDIA

Finally got a way to upload the images and what better way than the snap from Shankaracharya Peetham, at Kudajadri, KARNATAKA

This moment was one of the most pristine moments of my life. Taken during a loner trip to Kollur Mookambika, a 12 km trek from Mookambika temple through hills, grasslands and dense forests. On the tip of the mountain, there are two temples, one PWD house, no electricity, no mobile and a little pond that overlooks the valleys...

Greetings !Came via Cuckoo's blog just fyi-

Sunrise/set are my fav subject, I always find my pics being too dark in final results (:-(). However I ignore the bottom edge of the pic - as I only look at the top showing those amazing colors...!
Wouldn't mind seeing more pics on area.

hey thanks for the comments. Had been really busy these days! (for a change ;-))

Bendtherulz,
Welcome to my blog on travels...

As they say, "The best show is on when half the world is asleep!"

The place of those snaps are 4 kms from Leh, the lake is called Pangong Lake. Will upload more shortly as soon as i get the time...

Cuckoo,
Thanks again...

Well, i have a Pentax K1000 SLR camera. But the images here are all from a digital camera, i borrow from friends while going on a trek. I was robbed off my NIKON SLR camera the last time i had gone to a loner trek. So i avoid doing that same mistake. The Digital camera i want to buy is horrendously expensive.

This image i took on a manual setting in the camera with an exposure of 4 seconds.

There was some blog I had written about how to reach this place.
Will dig it and post it here whenever i can...

Work has started and schedules are jampacked.. Need more than 24 hours in a day! Missing my sleep :((

click on the map to see from the satellite, the location where the snap was taken... cant say that i am accurate in depicting the location, but it is more or less quite close by

Which map are you talking about?

When u select a particular snap say (http://www.flickr.com/photos/36681861@N00/321225902/) there is information on the page saying photograph taken near Leh... blah blah with a hyper link (map) written next to it. Click on that it shows the sattelit map from where the pics have been taken...
